Making Aircraft Carpet To Fit Your Plane

SCS Interiors makes custom-fit aircraft carpet kits for several models of planes. At the present time, SCS Interiors has aircraft carpets and/or floor mats for American Champion, Beechcraft, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, Eclipse, Enstrom Helicopter, Fairchild Hiller, Jabiru, Mooney, Pilatus, Piper,  Rockwell Commander, Robinson Helicopter, Socata, and  Trojan   aircrafts.

SCS Interiors knows that every pilot’s plane is one of their favorite possessions. We also realize that pilots enjoy fixing up their plane to make it look like new. One of the ways that can be achieved is through the installation of a new aircraft carpet and/or floor mats, or vinyl flooring. [See “SCS Interiors’ Aircraft Carpet”]

There are many models of planes with many more variants to each model. While we have a nice collection of carpets available on our web site as noted above, your model may not be listed. If that is the case, we will work with you to make a carpet that is a custom-fit for your plane. How does that work?

SCS Interiors will request the pilot to send in their old carpet OR to send us a pattern they make of their existing aircraft carpet. If you are making a pattern, please use hardware paper which is available from most hardware stores. [If you do not find any, please let us know and we can send some to you. Do not use any other type of materials for making the pattern as there is too much room for variation.] Personal attention is given through phone conversations and emails between the pilot and SCS Interiors’ personnel to answer any questions or concerns that may develop in this process. The new carpet is cut to fit the exact plane specifications. The same process is available if a pilot wished to obtain a custom-fit vinyl floor for the plane.

SCS Interiors offers three options for carpet types along with a variety of colors in each type. The customer has a choice of Featherweight, Nylon, or Wool carpet. There are numerous color options within these three types of carpet. The colors choices may be seen in thumbnail pictures on any of the carpet products on the website. In addition, there are several color options if the pilot wishes to install vinyl flooring in their aircraft.
